Williams named for first time
Outside back John Williams has been named for the first time in a Parramatta jersey this week in a new look centre pairing for the Eels Premier League game against the Magpies.
Williams, who was named in the Eels top squad at the beginning of this year, suffered a serious neck injury that has kept him out of action for most of the season, however he returned to football last week against the Sharks. His centre partner will be versatile, young Eel Brett Delaney, who has played centre, five-eighth and lock already this year.
Luke O'Dwyer has moved back into the lock position with Josh Cordoba named in the second row. Weller Huaraki is missing, presumably injured. Other Eels not named in lower grade teams this week are Jersey Flegg half Blake Green or centre Matt Lantry. Jack Afamasaga has been retained in the youth team.
