Fitzgerald says Parra will reconsider Lyon release
Parramatta boss Denis Fitzgerald has told The Daily Telegraph that the Eels will reconsider Lyong's request that he "be released from his Eels contract to play with his mates in Wee Waa".
""We will discuss this week Jamie's request that he be released to play for Wee Waa. He has put that in writing. The board is likely to be given a recommendation by our management and legal representatives," Fitzgerald said.

The rumour mill reckons that Lyon has something over Fitzgerald - which if true would likely have something to do with his links with Noel Cleal, who would, one might suspect, have a lot of information about the inside running of the club. What possible difference could there be, that would force Fitzgerald to reconsider Parramatta's stance?
If Jamie Lyon has "something" on Parramatta and is using it as a tool to gain a financial advantage, he is possibly guilty of extortion - using menaces to obtain gain.
